Water for Elephants on Broadway

Isabelle McCalla can currently be seen starring as Marlena in Water For Elephants on Broadway alongside Grant Gustin. Isabelle holds the story of Water For Elephants near and dear to her heart as her ancestors immigrated to Haiti with the circus. Her role as Marlena is more than a role, it’s an ode to her ancestors.

Prior to originating the role as Marlena, Isabelle starred in the hilariously popular musical, Shucked as Maizy. No stranger to the stage, she originated the role of Alyssa Greene in the groundbreaking Tony Nominated Musical, The Prom, where she was also nominated for a Broadway.com Audience Choice Award for Breakthrough Performance. McCalla made her Broadway debut appearing as the iconic Disney Princess, Jasmine in Disney Theatrical’s Aladdin on Broadway. Previous regional stage credits include: Yvette in Clue (Paper Mill Playhouse), Meg in Hercules (Paper Mill Playhouse), Ariel Moore in Footloose (Kennedy Center). On the TV front, Isabelle has made appearances on Extrapolations (Apple TV+), And Just Like That (HBO), Law & Order, (NBC) and Bull (CBS).
